Job Description

DevOps / MLOps Engineer

Overview



SCCI is currently seeking a Junior Engineer/Analyst with a focus on DevOps/MLOps to join our team! In this position you will support of the Battle Management System (BMS) Tactical Visualization Team (TVT) and bridge the gap between the software development teams' software products and deployment, security, and machine learning operations. The main duty for this position is to design, optimize, and maintain highly automated secure CI/CD and MLOps pipelines that support rapid, compliant deployment of both traditional software and AI models. This position is available for immediate hire and located in Dahlgren, VA.

Responsibilities:



 




  • Utilizing modern containerization and automation frameworks across Windows and Linux environments to build and support resilient infrastructure

  • Enabling our software developers by providing the foundational tools, reliable deployment workflows, and optimized environments necessary to transition cutting-edge capabilities from research into production seamlessly

  • Building, testing, and maintaining the tools and infrastructure that enable our software development teams to efficiently develop and release high-quality applications

  • Optimizing our continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines, ensuring seamless and reliable software releases



Qualifications

Essential Skills and Experience:



  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance

  • A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or field directly related to the position


  • Candidate must be familiar with at least one programming language such as Python, C# or C++



  • Must be experienced in software version control and familiar with Linux, scripting through Bash and experience working across multiple software development teams  



  • Candidate should be familiar with building and maintaining containerized environments using Docker, as well as managing CI/CD pipelines through services such as Jenkins and Artifactory



  • Work includes integration with both Windows and Linux environments 




 


 


Preferred Skills and Experience:




  • Familiarity with MLOps tools and platforms (such as MLflow, Kubeflow, or similar model registries) and deployment workflows

  • Basic understanding of integrating machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow) within automated build and deployment pipelines
