We are hiring a Junior Software Engineer/Junior AI Developer to build the connective tissue between the systems our portfolio companies run on. This is a hands-on engineering role. You'll write the scripts and services that pull data from one platform, reshape it, and push it into another, removing the manual work that slows clients down. You'll work across multiple portfolio companies rather than a single codebase, giving you broader exposure and a faster path to real engineering judgment.
What You Will Do:
- Build and maintain integrations that connect APIs across portfolio company tools, keeping data moving accurately between systems.
- Write Python and JavaScript automations that replace manual, repetitive processes with reliable, scheduled workflows.
- Query, clean, and structure data in SQL to support reporting and reconciliation across portcos.
- Build, deploy and maintain web applications and services hosted on Azure.
- Manage code through GitHub, including version control, pull requests, and code review.
- Troubleshoot broken integrations, debug failed API calls, and document fixes so they don't recur.
Your knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- JavaScript, for building apps, consuming APIs and automating backend workflows.
- Python, for scripting, data processing, and connecting systems together.
- SQL, for querying, joining, and reshaping data across multiple sources.
- GitHub, for source control, collaboration, and code review.
- Azure web development, for deploying and maintaining cloud-hosted services.
- REST APIs and webhooks, including authentication, pagination, and error handling.
- Business-level written and spoken English

Nice to Have:
- Experience building or working with AI agents (LLM-based tooling, agentic workflows, or AI API integration).
- Familiarity with Power BI, Power Automate, or similar reporting and automation platforms.
- Comfort working across several codebases and business contexts at once.
