Position Summary

Provide diverse services as Physical Therapy lab assistant, coaching students which will normally include guidance on proper approach, safety and efficiency.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitor students and their work as they develop test results and analysis observing any trends, findings or anomalies. The direction provided will contribute to the students to gain competency in cognitive, psychomotor and competencies in laboratory skills.
  • May design or participate in lab design.
  • Ensure all information that needs to be covered is understood and verify as needed with a leadership representative or faculty member.
  • Provide techniques or training on maintaining a clean and efficient laboratory to ensure successful lab work. Ensure that all equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sterilized so as not to impact any future tests or experiments.
  • Check and assess students' work to train and ensure safety is a priority.
  • May participate in related activities.
  • Provide follow-up information as needed.
  • May serve as examiner during practical exams and may provide grading and time for contact with students one-on-one, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
