Large Format Finishing Operator
POSITION DESCRIPTION
OBJECTIVE
The Large Format Finishing Cut/Route Operator will run cutter/router equipment, prepare work for downstream tasks, process handwork and final pack jobs from the machinery, move materials, clean, and organize the work area, and assist the Packaging Department as needed.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set up and understand basic cutter operation including the machine control panel, software, camera system, and awareness of emergency stops and safety features
• Identify cutting defects (poor edge quality/chipping/tearing/incomplete cuts/etc.)
• Consistently and accurately load material for cutter operations
• Organize finished product for effective handling in downstream tasks including counting, separating, stacking, organizing, and documenting in accordance with best practices
• Work with Material Handler to expedite movement of materials
• Properly identify recyclable material from trash and discard appropriately
• Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and safe work environment
• Select appropriate tooling for material with the assistance of the software
• Install tooling into each type of insert and initialize for operation
• Perform maintenance on cutting table and tooling
• Monitor consumable levels
