Job description

KRUSH Tech is a new technology company building advanced hardware solutions for defense, aerospace, communications, and autonomous systems. We're launching our U.S. operations from the ground up — and this is a rare opportunity to join at the very beginning and help shape the company from day one.

At KRUSH Tech, we combine the agility of a startup with the ambition to tackle some of the industry's most demanding engineering challenges. Our teams work across disciplines—including RF, embedded systems, electronics, mechanical engineering, software, manufacturing, and supply chain—to transform innovative ideas into reliable, production-ready solutions. We are building a next-generation, vertically integrated aerospace organization focused on advanced uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS), autonomy, sensing technologies, and scalable manufacturing — for the U.S. market and strategic partners.

As the Lead Embedded Systems Engineer, you will provide technical leadership for the architecture, design, development, integration, and validation of embedded systems that power our UAV platforms. You will define firmware architecture, guide hardware-software co-design, and lead cross-functional engineering efforts from concept through production.

Working closely with electrical, systems, autonomy, RF, and manufacturing engineering teams, you will ensure embedded platforms are reliable, scalable, and optimized for high-performance aerospace applications. This role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership and is ideal for an experienced embedded engineer who enjoys solving complex multidisciplinary challenges while mentoring engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture, design, and development of embedded systems and firmware for advanced UAV platforms.
  • Define embedded software architectures, technical standards, and development best practices to ensure scalable, maintainable, and reliable products.
  • Collaborate with hardware engineering teams on MCU selection, hardware-software partitioning, system optimization, and design reviews.
  • Lead firmware integration, system validation, and debugging across hardware, software, communications, and manufacturing environments.
  • Investigate and resolve complex cross-functional technical issues through systematic root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate technical activities across firmware, hardware, systems integration, test, validation, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support product lifecycle activities, including prototype development, New Product Introduction (NPI), production readiness, and manufacturing handoff.
  • Mentor embedded engineers, provide technical leadership, manage engineering risks, and contribute to technology strategy and long-term product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience designing and developing embedded systems for complex electronic products.
  • Experience leading embedded software development through the complete product lifecycle from prototype to production as well as demonstrated technical leadership within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong expertise in embedded systems architecture and firmware development.
  • Experience designing real-time embedded systems using RTOS (FreeRTOS or equivalent).
  • Proficiency in low-level embedded software, device drivers, hardware abstraction layers (HAL), and MCU peripherals.
  • Experience with hardware-software co-design, MCU selection, and embedded system optimization.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across embedded hardware and firmware.
  • Experience with system integration, validation, verification, and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of engineering development processes, product lifecycle management, and New Product Introduction (NPI).

Benefits

  • Health Care Plan
  • Retirement Plan
  • Paid Time Off
  • Family Leave
  • Free Food & Snacks
