About This Opportunity 

Responsibilities: 

As a Lead Software Engineer your areas of expertise include programming in javascript, implementing software engineering best practices in design, development, and utilization of APIs in cloud platforms. You have a passion for hands-on coding, putting quality first, delivering an exceptional experience to App Developers, Customers, and drive efficiency through the creation of extendable and re-usable service components.  

You will also ensure that the components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. If required, you must be willing to wear any of the other hats that is required to make the project successful and always ready to learn new technology on the fly and deliver the results.  

Educational & Required Qualifications: 

• Overall 6+ years of experience in industry 

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of backend services and APIs using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript, with production experience at scale. 

• Own microservices architecture and service boundaries, including async communication patterns (REST/WebSocket, event-driven workflows) and distributed systems concerns (latency, consistency, resiliency). 

• Demonstrate strong PostgreSQL expertise: schema and data model design, query optimization and indexing, transactions, and performance tuning for large, evolving datasets. 

• Design and operate containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes in a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure), including deployments, scaling, and basic infrastructure-as-code or DevOps practices. 

• Implement robust authentication and authorization (JWT, OAuth2), input validation, and security best practices (e.g., protection against injection, XSS, CSRF) across APIs and services. 

• Apply deep understanding of Node.js runtime, event loop, and asynchronous programming (promises, async/await, streams) to build high-performance, non-blocking services. 

• Use messaging and streaming technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis pub/sub, queues) for event-driven architectures, background processing, retries, and dead-letter handling. 

• Establish and maintain strong observability: structured logging, metrics, tracing, dashboards, and SLOs to monitor reliability, performance, and error rates in production. 

• Drive CI/CD pipelines and automation (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins or similar), ensuring high test coverage, repeatable deployments, and safe rollout strategies.vacancies. 

• Take ownership of system performance and scalability, including profiling, bottleneck analysis, caching strategies (e.g., Redis), and capacity planning for 10x traffic scenarios. 

• Lead and mentor backend engineers through code reviews, pairing, technical direction, and architecture discussions; set and enforce coding standards and best practices. 

• Collaborate closely with product, design, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, and communicate trade-offs to non-technical partners.intent. 

• Own integrations with third‑party APIs (auth, pagination, rate limits, webhooks), designing resilient sync flows, backfills, retries, and idempotent data processing. 

• Ensure robust testing across the stack (unit, integration, end-to-end) and advocate for practices like TDD/BDD where appropriate. 

• Stay current with Node.js/NestJS ecosystem, backend patterns, and cloud-native tooling, and bring pragmatic, modern approaches into the team’s architecture and practices.
