Job Description
We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Field Engineer - Structural to join our organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee structural engineering operations on-site, ensuring all construction activities meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. You will lead a team of engineers and technicians while maintaining direct communication with project management, architects, and contractors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, decisive leadership, and a commitment to excellence in structural engineering execution.
Supervise and coordinate all structural engineering activities on construction sites, ensuring compliance with approved plans, specifications, and the Saudi Building Code
Conduct daily site inspections and quality control checks to verify structural integrity, material specifications, and workmanship standards
Analyze structural performance data and field conditions, providing technical recommendations and solutions to resolve design or construction challenges
Lead and mentor a team of field engineers and technicians, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and fostering professional development
Prepare and maintain comprehensive field reports, inspection logs, and documentation for project records and regulatory compliance
Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure seamless coordination and timely resolution of structural issues
Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices to maintain a secure work environment for all personnel
Review and interpret structural drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accurate field implementation
Manage material testing, inspections, and certifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards
Communicate technical findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear written and verbal reports
Participate in project meetings and provide expert input on structural matters, timelines, and resource allocation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in structural engineering field operations and site supervision
Proficiency with structural analysis and design software including SAP2000, ETABS, and AutoCAD
Comprehensive knowledge of building codes and standards (IBC, ACI, AISC, and Saudi Building Code)
Demonstrated experience in project management and construction site supervision
Strong expertise in quality control procedures, material testing, and safety protocols
Proven leadership and team management capabilities with experience supervising engineering personnel
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze structural drawings and technical specifications
Organized and detail-oriented approach to work with strong analytical capabilities
Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining high standards of conduct
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working on construction projects in the Middle East region
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent credential
Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) software and processes
Background in large-scale commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
Knowledge of international construction standards and practices
Experience mentoring and training junior engineers and field staff
Familiarity with construction management software and digital documentation systems
