About EH Group Engineering
EHG is developing cutting-edge fuel cell technology for heavy duty mobility and large-scale stationary power applications. Our uniquely redesigned product is a significantly more compact fuel cell with high power density and lower costs of production. Faced with the challenges of climate change and the transition to a decentralised energy system, EHG seeks to provide high performance and cost-effective fuel cell solutions to our clients and partners.
To help achieve our vision of a decarbonised future we are seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to own the mechanical design and integration of our containerised, large-scale stationary power systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the mechanical design and integration of containerised fuel cell power systems
• Own container layout, structural design, mounting, piping and access concepts
• Coordinate multi-disciplinary integration (electrical, control, thermal/HVAC)
• Project planning and coordination of tasks between various stakeholders
• Drive design reviews, DFMA, trade-offs and design validation
• Ensure compliance with structural, safety, transport and relevant standards
• Manage BOMs, drawings and engineering change in PLM and guide the design team
• Work with suppliers and contractors on fabrication and assembly
Skills and Experience Required:
• MSc in mechanical engineering is mandatory
• Minimum 8-10 years of mechanical design experience, ideally with containerised systems, skids, enclosures or plant
• Expert in 3D CAD (ex. SolidWorks), in-depth understanding of GD&T and DFM/DFA
• Experience with structural design, piping/fluid systems and system integration
• Knowledge of relevant machinery, pressure and transport standards (CE, ISO container)
• Proven leadership and coordination ability across disciplines
• Team player able to work autonomously with internal and external experts
• Excellent spoken and written English/French is mandatory; German is a plus
