🎯 About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Software Developer to join our Software Engineering team and play a key role in architecting, designing, developing, and implementing scalable cloud-based software solutions.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on .NET, AWS, microservices, event-driven and serverless architectures, with an exciting opportunity to work with Generative AI, RAG, Agentic AI, and MCP technologies.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with architectural thinking, leadership skills, and a passion for evaluating and adopting modern technologies.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
🏗️ Architect, design, and develop complex software solutions using microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
☁️ Design and implement cloud solutions following the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
💻 Develop clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code using established coding standards, design patterns, and architectural principles.
🔍 Participate in system analysis and technical design, assessing feasibility and ensuring solutions align with the overall product architecture.
📋 Collaborate with Business Analysts to define user stories and break them down into actionable development tasks.
🔄 Partner with DevSecOps, Infrastructure, DevOps, and Platform Engineering teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
🧪 Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and API tests using TDD/BDD practices.
🔐 Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities while maintaining high standards for application security.
🔧 Manage technical and non-functional work, including framework and library upgrades, technical debt, performance improvements, and system reliability.
🤝 Provide technical leadership through code reviews, pair programming, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and technical guidance.
🚧 Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to identify and quickly resolve technical blockers.
🔬 Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and architectural approaches that can strengthen the company's technology capabilities and competitive advantage.
☁️ Technical Expertise
- .NET / C#
- 8+ years of hands-on development experience with C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Core.
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
- Experience designing and developing secure OpenAPI v3-compliant RESTful APIs.
- AWS / Cloud Architecture
- 3+ years of experience leading the architecture, design, and implementation of cloud solutions using AWS.
- Strong experience with microservices, event-driven, and serverless architectures.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services such as:
- AWS Lambda
- AWS Batch
- Amazon S3
- Amazon CloudFront
- Amazon EventBridge
- Understanding of AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud design patterns.
- Microservices & Distributed Systems
- Proven experience designing and developing containerized microservices.
- Experience with Docker and distributed application architectures.
- Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, performance, and security considerations.
🤖 Generative AI & Emerging Technologies
- 1+ year of experience integrating Generative AI capabilities into software products.
- Experience with:
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Agentic AI
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Ability to evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies into existing software solutions.
⚛️ Frontend Development
- 2+ years of experience developing Single Page Applications (SPAs)using:
- React
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- Strong understanding of React principles, component-based architecture, design patterns, and advanced concepts.
🗄️ Databases
- Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of database design and data modeling.
- Experience using Code First development approaches.
🔄 DevOps & CI/CD
- Experience working in Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environments.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps and infrastructure teams on automated deployments and Infrastructure as Code.
🧪 Quality & Testing
- Strong experience with TDD and/or BDD methodologies.
- Experience developing automated unit, integration, and API tests.
👨💻 Leadership & Collaboration
- 3+ years of experience in a Lead Developer, Technical Lead, or similar technical leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and provide technical direction.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across engineering, product, infrastructure, DevSecOps, and business teams.
- Ability to work independently while effectively contributing to cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
🎓 Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and/or an equivalent technical degree.
- AWS Developer or AWS Solutions Architect certification is preferred.
