Job Description
Job Requirements

The Chubb Overseas General Learning Program Specialist is responsible for creating a consistent and repeatable process for Academies globally, managing the Multinational Underwriting learning curriculum as well as facilitation of P&C curriculums. This position will report to the Chubb Global Early Career Manager.


Core Responsibilities:

Chubb Academies

  • Designs a strategic approach for Academies globally in collaboration with Chubb Global Learning Managers, COG Human Resources, and local business leaders
  • Facilitates technical underwriting classes for Academies globally to ensure new hires are able to complete core functions after completing the curriculum
  • Works with Academy sponsors to ensure objectives are met and results meet expectations
  • Focuses on the learner’s experience when designing/structuring learning material and classes
  • Utilizes Chubb Talent Experience (CTX) to track and measure learning solutions, determine how material is being received and identify opportunities to adjust material based on findings
  • Communicates key metrics and business impact to Senior Leadership

Multinational Underwriting

  • Creates and facilitates learning programs for experienced underwriters in the Multinational Talent Pool
  • Creates assessments to ascertain the level of proficiency for experience underwriters
  • Partners with P&C leaders to build skills and accelerate delegation of underwriting authority
  • Works with HR Business Partners to determine demand and supply between pool and regions

 

 Chubb Links Programs

  • Facilitate cross-pollination between Claims and Underwriting, provide 4 UWs exposure to Claims and 4 Claims Handlers exposure to Underwriting (6 weeks online learning and virtual lessons)

 

COG Program Facilitation

  • Facilitates 3-5 classes a week to ensure COG new hires are able to complete core underwriting functions after completing the curriculum
  • Designs support learning materials for learners to reinforce content and drive manager engagement.
  • Collects, evaluates, and acts on learning metrics that are both qualitative and quantitative
  • Leverages foundational insurance expertise to facilitate classes across multiple lines of business
  • Utilizes integrated blended learning solutions to promote scalable, consistent, and repeatable learning
  • Works with business SMEs to design and develop innovative learning solutions aligned to ILD standards
  • Utilizes new learning technologies to ensure that delivery methods are practical, relevant, and engaging
  • Considers the learner’s experience when designing/structuring learning material and classes

 

Qualifications:

  • Deep technical expertise in property and/or liability underwriting is required
  • Professional and engaging presentation skills
  •  A strong desire/interest in learning about L&D functional expertise – including a deep understanding of instructional design and adult learning theories
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate, analyze, and interpret technical information
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strategic thinker: ability to overcome obstacles; takes an organized and logical approach to thinking through problems and complex issues
  •  Collaborative team player with proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; ability to execute plans, drives results and takes accountability for outcomes
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Ability to flex hours as needed for specific assignments
