Job Description:

As a Linux Systems Engineer you will configure, integrate, and provide support to the service provider, end-user, and infrastructure.  The type of underlying components that support the infrastructure typically include Linux, Windows and Apple workstations to server systems.  Occasional travel is expected for training and infrastructure support purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the maintenance of existing and future platforms
  • Provide support to existing and future projects
  • Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the systems and the infrastructure that supports it
  • Routinely interact with software developers, network personnel, and engineering teams
  • Provide input to develop performance\/security management of the platform 

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Hold and maintain an active clearance
    • BS in IT or equivalent degree
    • 10 or more years working experience with systems administration on Linux
    • 4 or more years with a recent Mac OS
    • Experience with basic networking
    • Hold and maintain the Security+ certification
    • Obtain a DoD 8570.01-M CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6-months of start date and then maintain the certification

      Preferred Skills\/Experience:

      • Certificates for Apple, Linux, VMWare
      • Bash scripting
      • Familiarity with DoD\/Army IT policies and regulations 
      • MS in IT or equivalent degree
      • Experience with VMware
      • Fundamental knowledge of cloud technologies
