This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Mainframe Systematics Software Engineer to join our team. We hire engineers that have systems, Mainframe, and software backgrounds. The software engineering role within this company is critical to their success and one that focuses on building a highly reliable, scalable and measurable customer experience ensuring continued growth of company’s critical services in the Bank.

Essential Functions:

· You will be responsible for the definition, design, construction, integration, testing, and support of reliable and reusable software solutions, addressing business opportunities

· Includes systems analysis, creation of specifications, coding, testing, and implementation of application programs and data interfaces

· Develop complex applications using GN/RM/MA/IM/ST application experience (you do not have to have all of these apps to be considered qualified) and Agile

· Requires a previous domain of 5 years’ experience with FIS/Systematics applications

· You will demonstrate experience with large scale application integration efforts

· Ability to influence multiple levels on highly technical issues and challenges

· Ensures that application designs are consistent with the attributes (including scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility)



Requirements

Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years’ Financial software FIS/Systematics experience as a software engineer

a. FYI, the client is not looking for someone who has been doing migrations or conversions.

2) Specifically looking for someone who has experience in one of these applications:

a. Impacts

b. ST

c. RM

3) Banking and/or Financial industry experience

4) COBOL, JCL, VSAM on IBM mainframe

5) Ad Hoc reporting tools (Easytrieve or DYL)

6) Mainframe utilities (e.g. SORT, IDCAMS)

7) Experience with on-call production support

8) Excellent communication skills required

9) Must be willing to do on-call rotation

10) Must be able to pass a background check and credit check

11)




Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

1) Master’s degree

2) 5+ years of professional experience developing batch and CICS

3) Experience with database management systems, SQL, or other automated testing Experience with AWS
