Duties:
Perform the functions and duties of Interior Communications Contracts Specialist including, but not limited to:
-Coordinate with command division contracts leads for submission and approval of Planning Initiation Documents (PIDs) in the Acquisition Management System (AMS).
-Complete and submit required forms and supporting documents for contract package submissions, purchase card orders, and MILSTRIPs with assurance of data integrity.
-Maintain and distribute material and services contract action tracking reports.
-Maintain and distribute purchase card and MILSTRIP action tracking reports.
-Monitor contract ceilings to prevent under/over-utilization.
-Identify and report relative risks, concerns, and issues during weekly status report meetings.
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal travel requirements include trips to San Diego, CA, Washington, DC, and Charleston, SC.
**Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
Education: High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Ten (10) years of direct work experience with the use of information technology to develop and/or integrate complex data, to include three (3) of the following five (5) areas: requirements analysis; knowledge analysis; project management procedures including out year budgeting for programs involving OMN, FMS, OPN, SCN, and RDT&E monies; development of contract schedules, out year planning and POM budgets, compliance planning and program planning; knowledge of DoD standards and regulations like the FAR, DFAR, OPM requirements, and other business related regulations. Experience shall include notable supervision and/or mentoring of lesser experienced personnel. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
