General Summary….

The Implementation Systems Manager will be the SME when reviewing potential software needs for future customers, the SME for future system enhancements, providing input to the SM’s and MD of Implementations on FSC processes for testing and managing the testing the of the WMS being implemented at assigned customer sites. They serve as the business owner of the testing process and are accountable for the results.  This role supports the ongoing needs of the business while ensuring best practices implemented throughout the organization.  Provide technical oversight of the WMS testing to ensure a successful startup by identifying defects and gaps in the software that are barriers to operational success.

 

 

This position will be responsible for…..

  • Manage at least 2 full time exempt direct reports.  Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skill development, recognitions and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Develop test criteria that meet the business needs in system readiness as well as operational performance.
  • Ensure that projects are following the correct processes.
  • Lead the testing effort, from start to finish, of the Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) within company distribution facilities.
  • Evaluate and plan that the correct resources are assigned to the implementation team.
  • Provide leadership within the implementation team for the validation and completion of the entire process.
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
  • Ensure that the design of the solution is sound and provides what is required.
  • Work to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in implementing supply chain systems.
  • Keep communications flowing between various systems and operations team during the projects.
  • Understand the details of the overall implementation and requirements to ensure a complete end-to-end solution.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes or technologies in area(s) of assignment.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, the business community, external customers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and future warehouse execution technologies, capabilities and trends.
  • Evaluate resources on the project and provide feedback to Senior Managers and Managing Directors about performance, training and other action required.
  • Work to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in implementing supply chain systems.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems and/or equivalent training in related field preferred and 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Five (5) plus years of management/supervisory experience.
  • Five (5) years of experience implementing and supporting Manhattan WMOS systems i.e. Manhattan, Red Prairie and FLARE is strongly preferred.
  • Strong operational knowledge and understanding of Warehouse Management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, work instructions, process maps and/or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of internal and external customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Basic understanding of and willingness to learn and adopt professional and industry standards.

This position pays up to $134,481 depending upon experience.
