Job Description
You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Sr. (Electronics Fabrication, Level 3) for the Missiles and Fire Control Manufacturing Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting sustainment re‑cap, re‑certification (MRO), and Customer Field Service (CFS) for missile systems.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer Sr. you will be responsible for developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, work instructions, and risk‑mitigation plans while driving cost‑reduction initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain work instructions, task lists, and re‑work/repair procedures for circuit card assemblies, harnesses, and electromechanical sub‑assemblies.
- Identify production risks, develop mitigation plans, and lead validation activities on the shop floor.
- Drive cost‑reduction projects to closure and support testing, tooling, and hardware issue resolution.
- Lead process‑improvement initiatives using lean principles to reduce waste and improve affordability.
- Collaborate with shop‑floor personnel, program management, suppliers, and customers to ensure quality, schedule, and safety goals are met.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. A company‑sponsored interim Secret clearance is required to start.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Ability to interpret drawings, Computer-Aided Design (CAD) models, product/performance specifications, and other systems integration technical data
- Ability to liaison between LM Subcontractors, internal disciplines, and LM shop(s) Production Operations
- Bachelor's degree in an any STEM field or associated discipline or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Demonstrated effective communication skills including verbal, listening, technical writing, and presentations
-Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, including team building, collaboration, and developing enduring business relationships
-Experience manufacturing electronic assemblies to IPC and J-STD specifications
Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must be a US citizen and has the ability to acquire secret clearance
Desired skills
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people
- Current Active Secret Clearance
- Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in automation, additive manufacturing, machining, CNC programming, CAD, or simulation software.
- Experience with Government customers
- Expert in SAP, Apriso, Windchill PLM.
- Six sigma Greenbelt of Blackbelt certified

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
