Job description

Material Handler/Fab Tech – 1st Shift

Shift: Monday-Thursday 6:00am-4:30pm

 

Overall Responsibility:

  • Move materials (sheet/WIP) as needed to support fabrication (unload trucks, move material to/from various FAB departments).
  • Load, unload sheets and parts off laser.
  • Assist press brake in bending parts (2-man jobs).
  • Assist weld with weldments (tacking, kitting, prepping, etc).
  • Metal finish units as needed and/or based on demand.

 

Key Job Duties (not exhaustive):

  • Able to use measuring equipment: tape measure, micrometer, etc.
  • Understand mathematics to verify job requirements and specifications.
  • Hold high quality standards to meet customer specifications.
  • Follow company policy and standards.
  • Able to operate forklifts and hoists.
  • Keep work centers clean and orderly.
  • Able to take and follow directives.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years Fabrication/Manufacturing experience & Forklift driving experience.

 

Desired Qualities and Attributes:

  • Ability to work and function as a team.
  • Self-motivated and can work without much supervision.
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal).
  • Is safety minded and puts safety first while performing job duties and functions.

 

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 per hour
