Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler I to join the team in Union, OH. The Material Handler I is responsible for basic clerical responsibilities and operational execution on warehouse floor in support of the Assembly Department, including, but not limited to item master, bin location maintenance, and warehouse slotting.
Responsibilities
What Will You Do?
- Calculate, weights & dimensions; ensure item master information is correct in PKMS.
- Maintain accurate bin location data to support operations.
- Execute slotting moves as needed. Use excel reports to identify and correct item master, LPN, and active location records.
- Complete updates within PKMS to support initiatives as required.
- Create and maintain training documents for warehouse functions.
- Communicate effectively with subordinates, peers, and members of management. Assist the supervisor to plan and organize effectively.
Qualifications
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Strong multi-tasking ability and time management skills.
- Self-disciplined with strong work ethic.
- Strong attention to detail with an ability to adhere to timelines to ensure success.
- Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel.
- Must have good interpersonal skills to successfully interact and communicate effectively with in all areas and levels of the organization.
- Ability to operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) (i.e., order picker, stand up forklift) or any other equipment as necessary.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic mathematical abilities.
