SUMMARY: We are seeking an Aircraft Composites Mechanic to repair, modify, and rebuild composite parts. This role involves using engineering drawings, performing various composite repairs, and handling essential repair materials. Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of composite materials and processes

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Repair, replace, and rebuild composite parts
  • Utilize OEM and Engineering drawings to modify composite parts
  • Accomplish wet lay-up repairs
  • Accomplish elevated temperature repairs
  • Understand quote process
  • Knows all standard chemicals, epoxies, sealants, resins, pre-pregs, composite repair materials and their associated MSDS

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum two years of related commercial/military aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Airframe or Airframe and Powerplant License preferred.

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND DEXTERITY:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit; use their hands and arms; talk or hear; and focus on objects close up. The employee will also be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Ability to handle and climb ladders and aircraft stairs.

 

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is $23.50 - $37.00 hourly, not including bonuses or benefits. Your pay will be based on your experience, skills, and education, as well as internal equity to ensure fairness across the team. Candidates closer to the lower end of the range are typically building their expertise, while those at the higher end bring significant experience and specialized knowledge. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
