Job description

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for assembling power distribution equipment, including sheet metal components, busbars, and related hardware. The role involves following established work instructions and using standard tools and equipment to complete assemblies in a production environment. This position works under general supervision and reports to the Assembly Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical structures and subassemblies for power distribution equipment

  • Use hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and inspection tools to complete assembly tasks

  • Follow work instructions, drawings, and established procedures to ensure accuracy and quality

  • Inspect and verify completed work to meet quality standards

  • Operate forklifts and overhead cranes as needed (training provided)

  • Support loading and unloading of materials and shipments

  • Assist with packaging of finished products

  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently

  • Perform additional tasks as needed to support production goals

Qualifications:

  • Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred (1–3 years)

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic schematics

  • Comfortable using standard tools and equipment in a manufacturing setting

  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and production systems

  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to follow direction and work as part of a team

  • Flexibility to support other departments as needed (cross-training provided)

  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment
