Responsibilities:
- Identify problems, develop ideas and propose solutions within differing situations requiring analytical, evaluative or constructive thinking in daily work and for assigned programs and projects
- Design and implement caching and performance architecture for MicroStrategy BI tools
- Design and develop MicroStrategy projects, logical data marts and table structures; and define attributes, dimensions, hierarchies and metrics
- Document systems through object models, data definitions and naming conventions
- Apply conceptualized and creative-thinking expertise toward possible reporting solutions or alternatives
- 5+ years’ experience with BI related solutions
- 3+ year’s experience with Microstrategy or similar tools
- MicroStrategy 8.x or greater experience required, 9.x a big plus
- Expertise in Report Development, including schema object optimization
- Familiarity with functions, dimensionality and transformations
- Ability to collaborate with Data and ETL architects on overall design and solution
approach - Excellent problem solving and analytical skills, troubleshooting MicroStrategy
- Strong User interface design skills and visualization required
- Excellent development and testing skills (including test planning and execution)
- Work well under pressure and able to meet and exceed project deadlines
- Strong communication/collaboration skills, ability to work with business/technical staff of all levels
- Experience working in RAD or Agile development environment
- Strong SQL skills required, DB2, Netezza experience a plus
- MicroStrategy Certified Developer (MCD), preferred
- BS Degree in Computer Science preferred
