Job Description

Plexus Scientific Corporation seeks a Mid-level Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist with 5-7+ years of applied site investigation and remediation experience.


This position will primarily support environmental investigation and remediation projects throughout the continental United States (CONUS) with an emphasis on CERCLA and RCRA processes.


What you'll do:

The work will encompass both field and office work. Field activities may include supervising and conducting environmental field investigations (soil, groundwater, surface water, etc.), performing long term monitoring, documenting field conditions, supporting remediation activities through sampling activities, working with Mid and Sr. level Project Managers on the development of conceptual site models, oversight of remediation activities such as soil excavations, amendment injections, and operation of remediation systems. Office activities may include preparing for and coordinating field events, management of field and laboratory data, development of graphics depicting site investigation activities, developing pricing for future work, developing period and unique reports, studies, and plans.


Travel for site visits, meetings, and field work will be required.


What you'll need:

Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental or civil engineering, environmental science, or related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience related to the investigation and cleanup of contaminated sites under federal, state, or other cleanup programs.

Must have adequate experience in field work, workplan development, task management, data analysis, and report preparation.

Successful candidate will demonstrate a history of increasing responsibility, initiative, motivation, and creative problem solving.

Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work successfully independently, as a member of a team, and as a leader.

PG or PE registration preferred.

OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification required.

USEPA or state certified lead risk assessor.

Effective technical writing and time management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Access, ArcGIS a plus.

Experience with monitored natural attenuation of chlorinated solvents.

The Salary Range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000.


Actual salary is dependent on background and experience.
