The Opportunity
We're rebuilding a global logistics and e-commerce platform that will move millions of packages across hundreds of carriers, continents, and time zones. We're modernizing a powerful ERP backbone and launching a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution that gives businesses everywhere a single, intelligent integration layer to the world's carrier network.
We're looking for a mid-level Java developer who codes AI-first. Someone who has genuinely changed how they work because of AI tools and is excited to bring that mindset to a team building something at global scale.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain features across our global logistics and e-commerce platform, contributing to both greenfield development and legacy modernization
- Develop and integrate REST and event-driven APIs that connect carriers, merchants, and internal systems
- Contribute to our PaaS integration platform, helping enable carriers worldwide to connect through a unified API layer
- Use AI tools (Claude, Copilot, and others) as a first-class part of your development workflow from code generation and test writing to documentation and code review prep
- Collaborate with senior engineers and architects on design decisions, participating in architecture reviews and PR feedback
- Work with Business Analysts to understand requirements and translate them into clean, well-tested Java code
- Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to incident response and post-mortems
What You Bring
Required
- 3–5 years of hands-on Java development experience, preferably Java 17 or later
- Solid working knowledge of Spring Framework Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data
- Experience building and consuming REST APIs in production environments
- Demonstrated AI-first development habits — you can walk through how AI tools have concretely changed your workflow, not just that you use them
- Comfort working in a distributed, microservices architecture
- Strong fundamentals: data structures, design patterns, debugging, and writing maintainable code
Preferred
- Experience in logistics or supply chain
- Exposure to ERP systems
- Experience with AWS
What AI-First Means Here
We don't mean occasional Copilot suggestions. We mean you use AI to scaffold services, generate and refine tests, accelerate code reviews, and explore design options faster — and you apply judgment about when to trust, push back on, or verify model output. Prompting is part of the craft.
Why This Role
- Real scope — your code will touch live supply chains, real carriers, and merchants across dozens of countries
- Greenfield opportunity — you'll build new systems, not just maintain old ones
- AI-forward culture — we're embedding AI into how the whole team works, and we want engineers who'll help push that further
- Growth path — direct exposure to senior engineers, architects, and a technical leader who invests in mentorship
- Salt Lake City — a growing tech hub with genuine quality of life: mountains, culture, and a talent market that rewards bold companies
