TimeForge is a SaaS company specializing in labor management and forecasting in the retail space, and we are seeking a talented Master's student with a background in development and exposure to Machine Learning to join our team for a full-time summer internship. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Python and experience with Airflow and basic ML concepts. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new ML models to help us push out new products. Remote work from Lubbock is acceptable.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new ML models using Python and Airflow
- Test and validate new ML models using appropriate statistical and machine learning techniques
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in code reviews and ensure that code meets established standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise
- Work on high-impact projects that contribute to the development of new products
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a program for Data Science, Computer Science or related field
- Proficient in Python with awareness of Python idioms a big plus
- Exposure to basic ML concepts such as regression, clustering, and classification
- Familiarity with common ML frameworks and libraries
- Ability to develop in the Linux environment is an asset
- Knowledge of Airflow is an added advantage
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstration of curiosity and eagerness to learn new technologies and methodologies
