OMS Integration Developer
The Integration Developer is responsible for data transformation, data security and data delivery processes. The integration developer will build both ESB based integrations with the occasion point-to-point integrations in order to integration system reliably and securely. The primary application is IBM Sterling Order Management, but the integration developer will primarily build integration process on top of ESB in order to connect IBM Sterling to other solutions (SaaS or on-premise) that are part of the enterprise. On occasion, the integration developer will need to build some real-time point-to-point integrations within the IBM Sterling platform to interface with other systems.
Primary Objectives and Responsibilities
- Participate in the interface mapping exercise to define how data of one system maps to the data of another system.
- Participate in defining standard system data interfaces that will be shared between systems
- Build ESB base transformations to convert messages from the source system to the format of the target system by either using mapping tools or manually coding the mapping depending on complexity
- Integrating systems which use various protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS or Queuing protocols
- Ensuring the integration of data is transmitted reliability and securely.
- Identify possible fault scenarios and develop and approach to ensure they are handled appropriately
- Identify alert scenarios and developing the appropriate escalation process and procedure depending on alert severity
Required Experience: Experience and Competencies listed below are required
- Bachelor’s degree 2+ years’ experience in a Developer role for Java base systems
- Experience with data transformation processes using an ESB, preferably SAAS based.
- Experience with IBM Sterling Order Management System
- Experience with data delivery mechanisms using (S)FTP, AS2, HTTPS, REST, Webservices, and Queues
- Must be competent with XML technologies, in particular XSLT and XPath
- Provide personal and knowledgeable customer support
Plus Competencies: competencies listed below are considered definite plus(s)
- Knowledge of other OMS, such as Manhattan Associates
- Experience with other Enterprise Service Bus solutions, such as JBoss Fuse ESB
- Experience with EDI document standards
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Sterling File Gateway
- Experience with SFTP, FTP, FTPS, AS2, HTTPS, TCP, UDP protocols
