Job Description

What You’ll Accomplish

  • Take responsibility for the hardware system design, and realisation of a complex large scale electronics control system.
  • Design, build and test electronics products using your skills of analogue and digital circuit design together with industry standard CAD packages and test equipment.
  • Write the documentation of your electronics circuits and verification tests.
  • Develop your experience in a broad range of electronics engineering subject areas.
  • Maintain the multidisciplinary collaboration with mechanical engineers, software engineers, physicists, working towards a common goal.
  • Play a key role in building control systems for quantum computers.
  • Maintain UQs’ position of using state of the art electronics solutions.
  • Help in the planning and scheduling of projects, reporting progress and issues.
  • Engage with project planning activities, risk management and scheduling requirements.
  • Help with fast turn-around proof of concepts and feasibility discussions.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of the firmware and software used to control quantum computers.
