Established in 2009, the EIF is a partnership, bringing together the resources and expertise of 51 LDCs and recently graduated countries, 26 EIF Funding Partners and 8 EIF Partner Agencies. The partnership provides demand‑driven, targeted support to the LDCs and recently graduated countries with the new vision of inclusive trade and investment for resilient, sustainable and transformative development.

The Executive Secretariat for the EIF (ES) is housed at the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, and the new programme cycle running from 2025-2031 is currently underway.
