Outside Sales Representative, Electric Technology Program

Job Description

ICF is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to support Entergy Services, Inc.’s Electric Technology Program (See www.entergyetech.com), through sales activities, account management, and field\/technical support. Entergy’s Electric Technology Program promotes the adoption of electric-powered agricultural irrigation pump equipment by farmers to help support revenue and load growth with the utility. In addition, Sales Representative may promote other electric technologies such as electric-powered forklifts, digital billboards, and electric-powered people movers.

The position will be home-based, and will require daily travel to meet with farmers and land owners throughout the assigned region. Up to 20% overnight travel may be requested. The position will be responsible for identifying farms with diesel irrigation pumps that could benefit from conversion to electric power, working with farmers to explain the benefits of electrification, working with Entergy engineering staff to facilitate the process of conversion, and performing inspections of work completed.

Additional expertise with one or more of the following electric-technologies is preferred: Irrigation Pumps, Forklifts, Truck Refrigeration Units, Cranes, Marine\/Port Equipment, Airport Ground Support Equipment, Industrial Batteries\/Charging Infrastructure, and other Industrial Equipment.

Compensation is salary based with an additional bonus structure in place to reward high performance. Mileage and expense reimbursement provided.  

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with agriculture, commercial, and industrial customers daily.
  • Educate agriculture customers on the benefits of electric-powered technologies.
  • Close sales and meet conversions goals to achieve business performance expectations.
  • Maintain records of all sales leads and outreach activities.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • 5 years of experience with farm product sales, equipment or electric technology sales, consulting in the agriculture sector, or business development.
    • Bachelor’s Degree. Experience may be evaluated in lieu of education qualification.
    • Computer experience, with strong proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, SharePoint), and experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application.
    • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check.
