Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pulls and stacks product based on daily orders.
- Packs product in designated polybag and corrugate boxes according to company specifications
- Verify product counts and ensure accurate quantities are packed and labeled correctly
- Stack and organize finished goods on pallet according to approved pallet configuration
- Keeps products separated, organized, and in good rotation.
- Monitors product quality throughout the packing process and promptly report defects, contamination concerns or safety issues.
- Operate various pieces of equipment such as pallet wrappers & pallet jacks
- Report any mechanical problems.
- Utilizes continuous-improvement mindset and assists in identifying opportunities to improve processes.
- Follows Good Manufacturing Practices and required work-safe practices.
- Maintains a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong verbal communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production deadlines.
- Minimum of six months of experience in distribution or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work safely in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise and moving equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
