About the Department

BridgeValley Community and Technical College invites applications for adjunct (part-time) positions to serve in the Academic Affairs Division. These individuals will be responsible for the instruction of  credit courses and clinicals; and maintaining lab equipment/areas as assigned.  These positions will also be responsible for instruction of accelerated courses when applicable.

We are seeking adjuncts to teach sections in Electrical Engineering Technology and related areas encompassing topics such as circuit theory, analog electronics, digital electronics, microcontrollers, communications, automation, and industrial electricity and machines,. The standard rate of pay for a three credit hour lecture course is $1,980 per semester with additional stipends for laboratory hours.

Position Duties

  • Instruct credit courses by identifying learning outcomes/competencies, developing lesson plans, syllabi and curriculum which establish and communicate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects.
  • Complete required recordkeeping and grade entry for assigned courses
  • Stay in communication with assigned Department Chair and Dean
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in field
Preferred
  • Master's degree in field or 18 completed graduate credit hours in field
  • Teaching experience
  • Aptitude for using technology and innovative methods for instructional delivery
