Job Description

We are looking for a Payment Controller within
Korridor’ s Treasury function, ensuring that funds are processed accurately,
securely, and on time across all operating regions. Based in Mauritius as part
of the Treasury and Finance team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day
verification, processing, and execution of multi-currency payments, maintaining
the integrity of banking operations, and ensuring suppliers are paid in
accordance with agreed terms.
This
role requires a strong focus on accuracy and control, with careful verification
of each transaction, maintenance of audit-ready records, and timely
identification of any discrepancies.


What You'll Do

  •  Payment processing and execution: Carry
    out day-to-day verification and processing of invoices and payment requests,
    load payments accurately across multiple currencies, and perform checks to
    confirm the completeness of every payment.

  • Supplier payments and deadlines: Ensure
    suppliers are paid on time and in line with due dates, and consistently meet
    all finance deadlines and reporting requirements.

  • Banking ownership and controls: Take
    ownership of the company's bank accounts, monitor and report anomalies in
    banking transactions, and provide timely updates of bank statements to the
    services team.

  • Records, filing and audit
    readiness:
    Maintain accurate records of daily payments
    and ensure all supporting documentation is filed and audit-ready at all times.

  • Process and systems: Adhere
    to the payment process flow and Treasury SOPs, continuously review current and
    new systems, and resolve exceptions caused by system errors.

  • Confidentiality: Maintain
    the confidentiality of sensitive information processed through the payment
    system, including salaries, bonuses, and advances

  •  Collaboration and support: Support
    the Head of Finance and Treasury Manager on strategic initiatives, provide
    timely assistance to the finance, services, and other teams, report to duties
    promptly, and take on ad-hoc duties as assigned.



Requirements

Essential

  • Diploma or degree in Finance, Accounting, or
    a related field

  • 2–3 years' proven experience in a similar
    payments, treasury, or finance role

  • Hands-on experience with payment systems such
    as Kyriba, Treasury Express, or bank internet-banking (IB) portals

  • Working knowledge of treasury management and
    multi-currency payment processing

  • Proficiency in data entry and data management
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with
    high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Diagnostic and problem-solving ability,
    including resolving payment and system exceptions

  • Ability to deal with complex information and
    requests, and to work effectively under sustained pressure

  • Strong organisation, administration, and
    time-management skills, with good written and verbal communication in English
    and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • A confident, enthusiastic self-starter who
    takes initiative and ownership

  • A dependable team player who balances
    individual and team responsibility, and both gives and accept feedback

  • Action-oriented and resilient
  •  Eligibility to live and work in Mauritius

Advantageous

  • Experience working across Sub-Saharan Africa
    or within a multinational organisation

  • Previous experience dealing with multiple
    currencies in a multinational environmen

  • Previous experience in the banking sector
  • Additional courses or certifications in a
    relevant finance or accounting field

  • Proficiency
    in additional languages spoken across our markets, such as French or Portuguese
