Position Summary
The Pharmacy Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering prescription medications and pharmacy products to patients, healthcare facilities, and local businesses while providing excellent customer service and maintaining patient confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prescription medications and pharmacy items in a timely and professional manner
- Verify delivery information and obtain signatures when required
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
- Communicate professionally with patients, caregivers, and pharmacy staff
- Assist with organizing deliveries and route planning
- Handle payments and delivery documentation when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of delivery vehicle
- Support pharmacy staff with light clerical or stocking duties during downtime
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation and proof of insurance (if using personal vehicle)
- Ability to lift and carry packages up to 25 lbs
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules
- Prior delivery or pharmacy experience preferred but not required
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
