PHP Backend Developer – Mid Weight - 2 years + Experience Required

My client, based in the Braintree area, have a newly created opportunity to join them at an exciting stage of their development. If you’re looking for a progressive, new and exciting home for the next stage of your career, then this role has a lot to offer.

You’ll be a confident, competent mid weight Back-End PHP developer, with all the passion and hunger expected from an innovative and creative developer. We’re looking for someone who has the ability to get creative, someone who’s not afraid to experiment, offer up ideas and be as keen to make them work. If you like the task of architecturing great functioning code - the sort of stuff that makes things easier than they often look – you’ll be the sort of person that gets huge satisfaction from working as a team towards a common goal, making it all come to life – and being tasked with adding and amending as the product evolves and develops – then this could be one of the most satisfying and desirable jobs in the area right now.

We’re looking for real talent in the making, someone who’s passionate, dedicated, junior or mid weight – we’re happy to consider you all - PHP developer who takes pride in everything they do. A human being on the outside, sure, but a PHP know-it-all, with everything in their toolkit to have the confidence to make it work.

Here’s a few of the bits were interested in knowing you can bring with you:

We’ll definitely need you to have the following: PHP, SQL, OOP, HTML and CSS. JS, Laravel or an alternative such as MVC – Cake or Code Igniter. And here are a few bits we’d like you to have had some exposure to but don’t worry, they’re not deal breakers if you haven’t - they’re Vue, Angular, React or similar. ES6 or 7, API Development and Integration experience, Nginx or Apache and last but not least, Microservices. Of course, if you do have all this then WOW, we definitely want to talk to you. If you have a few, then still get in touch, we need to speak to good people with the desire to learn more, someone who’s perhaps got more to offer than they can show right now, so don’t be put off by a utopian list of wants, we’re just keen to speak with people who are interested in being a part of a talented and innovative team.

We would like to see you in-post for a mid to late February start if at all possible, so don’t delay in applying as we’ll be looking to hire right away which means interviews will start as soon as we find you.
