Job Description

Area(s) of responsibility

Windchill Developer

Birlasoft is looking for PLM Windchill Developer who will be responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting PTC Windchill PLM solutions across implementation, enhancement, upgrade, migration, and integration projects.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize Windchill solutions using Java/J2EE and Windchill APIs
  • Implement custom: Actions, Action Models, Validators, Filters, Data Utilities, Table Builders, Wizards and Form Processors
  • Develop and customize workflows and lifecycle processes
  • Perform UI customizations using JSP, JCA, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Work across core Windchill modules:  PDMLink (mandatory). MPMLink / Change Management / PartsLink (as applicable)
  • Support development for:  Part, BOM, and Document Management, EBOM / MBOM related use cases, CAD data management and integrations
  • Develop loaders, utilities, and scripts to support data and configuration handling
  • Fix defects identified during SIT, UAT, and production
  • Participate in go‑live and hypercare support

 

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands‑on experience in PTC Windchill Development
  • Proficiency in:  Java, J2EE, JSP, JavaScript,  Windchill customization framework, SQL (Oracle / SQL Server)
  • Experience with Windchill UI and framework components
  • Knowledge of XML, REST APIs, and Web Services
  • Strong understanding of Windchill data model and object relationships
  • Experience with BOM, Part, Document, and Change Management
  • Knowledge of CAD integration and publishing is an advantage
  • Typically 5–8 years of experience as a Windchill or PLM Developer
  • Experience in implementations, upgrades, migrations, or integrations is a strong plus
