Job description

This role is a new opportunity for an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner based in Rockhampton!

Your new role:
Be part of one of Queensland’s largest and most vibrant Allied Health teams – a dynamic hub driven by clinical excellence, evidence-based practices, and a strong culture of peer support. Join us in our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients while advancing your professional growth in a collaborative and energetic environment.

Why should I apply?

  • Financial incentives for study and registration (let us pay for your study!)
  • Supervision toward registration and membership – your everyday work counts as supervised fieldwork.
  • Group and 1:1 clinical mentoring
  • Established pathways for a long-term, rewarding career
  • Opportunities to undertake and present research – get your first publication while working with us!

About you

  • You will have a passion for evidence-based practice and excellence in clinical practice!
  • You have a thirst for knowledge, an energy for learning, and a willingness to contribute to the learning of your peers.
  • You are excited by outstanding clinical practice and seeing this translate to the personal development of your clients. You have a positive attitude, energy to burn, and love working as part of a high-functioning team.

What will I be doing?

  • Learning the daily role of a practitioner: conducting assessments, writing PBS plans, analysing behavioural data, and writing behavioural data reports, assisting in conducting training, and implementing plan strategies.
  • Assisting core and proficient practitioners in the implementation of plans.
  • Weekly supervision and training to increase knowledge as a behaviour support practitioner.

Essential requirements

  • Currently working towards your bachelor’s degree in allied health or social and behavioural sciences – we have roles for undergraduates who are planning their next move, or those seeking 4+2 or 5+1 registration.
  • Hold a current QLD driver’s licence.
  • Hold a current paid blue (working with children) and paid yellow (positive notice card) or be willing to obtain one.

Why Multicap?
We are one of Queensland’s biggest Allied Health teams, specialising in the support of young people, people with mental illness, and people with an intellectual disability. We are building a dynamic hub of excellence in Clinical Practice, with supervisors and senior clinicians on staff to support and mentor you. You will be joining a team who have studied (or are currently studying!) the same coursework as you – we ‘get’ good clinical practice and know how to support emerging clinicians.

We have roles for brand new, emerging clinicians and career paths that can see you work through to advanced levels of practice, specialisation, or leadership.

Wherever you are in your clinical journey, we have a job for you and highly attractive salary and benefits to match!
