Job description

PRESS BRAKE OPERATOR

Custom fabrication  |  Eugene, Oregon

Spark Shop is a locally owned fabrication shop where the work changes, problems get solved at the machine and good ideas move fast. If you enjoy variety, ownership and seeing flat metal become a finished part, you will fit right in.

The role: Set up and run press brakes safely and accurately. Read drawings, choose tooling, prove out parts, inspect your work and keep jobs moving.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Set up and operate CNC press brake for custom job-shop work.

  • Plan bend sequences and confirm tooling, material and part orientation.

  • Make first-piece adjustments and inspect production parts to the drawing.

  • Record work accurately, communicate problems early and help maintain part flow.

  • Take care of the machine, tooling and work area while following safe work practices.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Press brake setup and operating experience.

  • Working knowledge of drawings, tolerances, forming methods and basic inspection.

  • A dependable, quality-minded approach to problem-solving and changing priorities.

  • Clear communication, good judgment and a willingness to keep learning.

WHY SPARK SHOP

You will work on a wide mix of projects with capable people who take pride in doing the work right. We value safety, craftsmanship, steady improvement and a family-oriented culture that respects life outside the shop.

Physical side of the job: This is an active shop role involving extended standing, regular handling of sheet metal and lifting up to 50 pounds. Assistance and lifting equipment are used for heavier or awkward work. Required PPE must be worn. Reasonable accommodations may be made.

If you like precise work, practical problem-solving and a crew that works hard without taking itself too seriously, we want to meet you.
