Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure is seeking an experienced Principal Program Manager, Execution Operations, to serve as a trusted executive business partner to the Executive Vice President and Head of OCI.

This role will operate as a chief of staff–style function focused on executive effectiveness, organizational execution, and operational excellence. The Principal Program Manager will work in close partnership with the Executive Assistant, the Head of Business Operations and Strategic Programs, and members of the OCI executive leadership team to ensure the EVP’s time, attention, and engagements are aligned with OCI’s highest priorities.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional operator who combines sound judgment, strategic thinking, executive presence, and rigorous follow-through. This person will anticipate needs, identify risks before they emerge, connect information across the organization, and help translate executive direction into coordinated action.

This is a highly visible role requiring discretion, adaptability, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, complex, and highly technical environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Executive Partnership and Effectiveness

  • Serve as a trusted advisor, thought partner, and sounding board to the EVP and Head of OCI.
  • Help the executive maintain focus on the most important business, customer, organizational, and strategic priorities.
  • Anticipate upcoming decisions, risks, dependencies, and organizational needs, and proactively prepare the executive and leadership team.
  • Provide candid, thoughtful perspectives and synthesize complex issues into clear options, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Support strategic time management by ensuring the executive’s schedule, preparation, and attention reflect the organization’s highest priorities.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Assistant to keep the executive on time, prepared, and equipped for critical meetings and engagements.
  • Maintain continuity across executive discussions, decisions, commitments, and follow-up actions.

Executive Engagements

  • Coordinate and prepare the executive for high-impact customer, partner, employee, public, analyst, and industry engagements.
  • Work across internal teams to develop briefing materials, agendas, talking points, decision documents, and engagement objectives.
  • Ensure the executive has the appropriate context, stakeholder perspectives, and desired outcomes before each engagement.
  • Coordinate follow-up actions and ensure commitments made during executive engagements are clearly assigned and completed.
  • Help sequence and prioritize external engagements based on strategic importance, business value, and executive capacity.
  • Partner with communications, sales, product, marketing, public relations, government affairs, and other stakeholders as needed.

Organizational Execution

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional initiatives sponsored by the EVP or OCI executive leadership team.
  • Translate executive priorities into clear workstreams, milestones, owners, decisions, and operating mechanisms.
  • Drive progress across complex initiatives that span multiple organizations, geographies, and leadership teams.
  • Identify execution gaps, conflicting priorities, unresolved dependencies, and emerging risks, and work with leaders to address them.
  • Establish appropriate review cadences and provide concise, decision-oriented updates to executive stakeholders.
  • Ensure important executive decisions and commitments are documented, communicated, and carried through to completion.
  • Step into ambiguous or under-structured situations and create clarity, accountability, and momentum.

Leadership Team Partnership

  • Build strong, trusted relationships across the OCI executive team and broader Oracle leadership community.
  • Partner with executives and their teams to align priorities, prepare for leadership discussions, and resolve cross-organizational issues.
  • Facilitate effective executive meetings, operating reviews, planning sessions, and leadership offsites.
  • Help shape agendas and ensure meetings are focused on decisions, tradeoffs, and outcomes rather than status reporting.
  • Surface themes, patterns, and organizational signals that may require executive attention.
  • Act as a connective layer across the executive office, business operations, strategic programs, and functional leadership teams.

Business Operations and Strategic Programs

  • Partner closely with the Head of Business Operations and Strategic Programs to support OCI-wide planning, operating rhythms, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide additional leadership capacity for high-priority programs requiring executive sponsorship or cross-functional coordination.
  • Support annual and long-range planning, leadership reviews, organizational priorities, and special projects.
  • Develop high-quality executive communications, presentations, briefing documents, and decision materials.
  • Use data, business context, and stakeholder input to frame issues and support timely decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in program management, business operations, strategy, executive operations, or a related leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success supporting senior executives in a large, complex, global organization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives involving senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Exceptional judgment, discretion, and maturity when handling sensitive or confidential matters.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to communicate credibly with senior leaders, customers, partners, and external stakeholders.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to create concise executive-level materials.
  • Ability to synthesize complex information, identify key issues, and develop practical recommendations.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, identify risks early, and operate several steps ahead.
  • High degree of ownership, resourcefulness, and follow-through.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and build trust across organizational boundaries.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in cloud infrastructure, enterprise technology, engineering, product development, or a similarly complex technical environment.
  • Experience serving in a chief of staff, executive business partner, strategy and operations, or executive program leadership capacity.
  • Familiarity with customer-facing technology businesses and large-scale enterprise organizations.
  • Experience coordinating executive customer, partner, analyst, media, or public engagements.
  • Experience supporting organizational transformation, operating model changes, or large-scale strategic initiatives.

Leadership Attributes

The successful candidate will be:

  • Trusted: Operates with integrity, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Anticipatory: Sees around corners and addresses issues before they become obstacles.
  • Strategic: Understands the broader business context and connects daily execution to long-term objectives.
  • Operational: Creates structure, drives accountability, and consistently closes the loop.

  • Direct: Communicates clearly and provides candid, constructive counsel.
  • Adaptable: Remains composed and effective as priorities, circumstances, and information change.
  • Low ego, high impact: Focuses on outcomes, enables others, and works effectively behind the scenes.

Travel Requirements

  • This role requires approximately 25–33% travel to support executive, customer, partner, leadership, and industry engagements. Travel may include domestic and international destinations and may occasionally require flexibility outside standard business hours.
