Job description

Description

Amazon Ads is reinventing how advertisers plan media through AI-powered conversational experiences. Improve media planning with AI at Amazon Ads. As a Principal Technical Project Manager, you’ll lead the development and delivery of planning capabilities within Ads Agent—an AI-powered conversational platform that helps media planners build and optimize strategies through natural dialogue, shortening complex workflows. You’ll own the end-to-end lifecycle of media planning skills across 23+ global marketplaces, ensuring accuracy and integration with Amazon’s planning-to-activation ecosystem.

Key job responsibilities
Own end-to-end project delivery for media planning skills including Reach Estimation, Audience Discovery, Budget Allocation, and Plan Creation, ensuring each new capability is developed and launched as a skill

Drive skill development lifecycle from initial beta phases through general availability, managing success criteria and readiness at each stage

Improve response quality and accuracy by establishing evaluation frameworks, analyzing conversation logs, and collaborating with teams to reduce error rates through continuous model refinement

Define and monitor skill-level success metrics such as task completion rates, response accuracy, and user engagement to track performance and guide optimization efforts

Coordinate cross-functional efforts including user acceptance testing, beta account onboarding, and go-to-market readiness across all stakeholders and teams

A day in the life
Your focus centers on advancing media planning capabilities within Ads Agent. You'll collaborate with engineering and machine learning teams to refine skills like Reach Estimation, Audience Discovery, and Budget Allocation, ensuring responses are accurate and trustworthy. You'll analyze conversation logs to identify improvement opportunities and drive model enhancements, balancing technical complexity with real-world advertiser needs.

You'll coordinate cross-functional initiatives to connect planning skills with campaign activation, ensuring seamless workflows across teams. You'll define skill-level metrics such as task completion rates and response accuracy, then manage beta cycles by onboarding strategic advertisers for testing. Throughout your week, you'll partner with leaders to align roadmaps, secure resources, and communicate Ads Agent's value across global markets.

About the team
