About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to support and optimize manufacturing operations across our Lancaster facilities. This role will focus on evaluating and improving production processes, identifying operational pain points, analyzing manufacturing data, and implementing solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong analytical abilities, manufacturing experience, and a passion for continuous improvement. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with engineering, production, quality, maintenance, R&D, and leadership teams to drive meaningful process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret production data to support decision-making and process improvements.
  • Lead and support process improvement initiatives on the lamination line and other manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain standardized processes, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Design and modify manufacturing processes and equipment to optimize performance and reduce waste.
  • Work with production teams to identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Support new product development activities, production trials, and raw material evaluations.
  • Maintain and improve process capability, production throughput, and quality standards.
  • Create process maps, workflow diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in investigations and root cause analysis activities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Engineering.

Required Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of process engineering experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting process improvement projects.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, change management, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, pivot tables, reporting, and macros.
  • Experience creating process maps and workflows using Visio or similar software.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating across teams.
  • Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing experience in automotive or high-volume production environments.
  • Knowledge of takt time analysis and production flow optimization.
  • AutoCAD experience.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems and manufacturing software applications.
