🚀 Why Join Us?

Join a hands-on aviation engineering team where your work has a direct impact on how critical aerospace equipment is repaired, supported, and returned to service. In this role, your ideas will help improve repair processes, solve real service challenges, and strengthen quality, reliability, and efficiency across our shop operations. It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical problem solving, technical detail, and seeing their engineering contributions make a visible difference.

⚙️ What You Will Do?

  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing and repair processes for new and repeat products, including tooling and assemblies.

  • Review customer and OEM drawings, specifications, and requirements to ensure compliance and quality.

  • Create part and assembly instructions, work order routers, and process documentation that help move products through efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective operations.

  • Specify and oversee quality requirements for components, final inspection, and documentation prior to shipping.

  • Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support to technicians and cross-functional teams.

  • Apply continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methods to enhance quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with suppliers and outside tooling vendors to fulfill customer specifications and improve tooling.

  • Determine root causes of failures using statistical methods and recommend changes in designs, tolerances, or processing methods.

  • Assist in identifying inventory requirements for tooling components.

  • Engage cross-functionally with operations, programming, quality, and tooling to review product designs, prepare quotes, and improve quality control.

  • Direct and support technicians on troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and repairs for tooling and equipment.

  • Perform other duties and specific projects as assigned.

Qualifications

🎯 What You Will Bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Engineering Technology) or equivalent experience.

  • 0-5 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, engineering, tooling/support equipment, aviation maintenance, or field service; hands-on internship, co-op, or project experience in a related environment may also be considered.

  • Technical knowledge of hardware specifications, manufacturing methods, product development, GD&T, and CAD/CAM. Experience with ERP systems such as Epicor is preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand tool drawings, aviation engine, aircraft, and procedure manuals.

  • Skills in mechanical evaluations, repairs, and minor tool repairs.

  • Computer literacy: Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and drafting software.

  • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy.

  • Ability to multitask, plan jobs, work independently, and meet deadlines.

  • Experience in continuous improvement and/or lean process development.

  • Ability to perform hands-on work in a shop or service environment, including standing, bending, walking, sitting, balancing, climbing, reaching, using hands and fingers, lifting/carrying more than 20/50 pounds, and driving as required.
