Senior CAM Process Engineer
Location: Ploiești or Bucharest, Romania
Team: Production Technology, Global Operations
We are looking for a Senior CAM Process Engineer to join our Global Operations team.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys working with technology, machining, and process improvement. You will help develop and standardize CAM and manufacturing processes, support new product industrialization in Walter production units that manufacture tools in Romania, Germany, and Turkey.
You will collaborate with teams across multiple countries, so this role is a great fit for an engineer who likes cross-border teamwork and solving technical challenges in an international environment.
What you will do:
- Develop and optimize CAM workflows and machining strategies for tool manufacturing.
- Work with process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives in our production units.
- Support the industrialization of new products, working closely with R&D and production teams.
- Collaborate with international engineering teams to share best practices and ensure consistent technical standards.
What we are looking for:
- Strong background in metal cutting processes - turning, milling, drilling, and threading.
- Proven experience with CAM programming and modern machining strategies.
- Understanding of cutting tool design and manufacturing principles.
- A collaborative and innovative mindset with attention to technical detail.
- Proficiency in English (required); German and Romanian language skills are an advantage.
