Job Description

Position Summary & Objective:

The Process Quality Controller is responsible for monitoring and inspecting processes and outputs to ensure products meet established quality standards.  This role involves reviewing specifications, identifying defects, conducting tests, and collaborating with production teams in ensuring that any non-conformities have been solved. 

Dimensions and Reporting Lines:

This role reports directly to the PQE. It does not have direct reports or financial responsibilities but is critical to maintaining quality standards. 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Perform regular quality checks on incoming material, in-process production.
  • Inspect products for deviations from specification using measuring equipment such as calliper, micrometre, etc.
  • Perform checks on finished products in relation to banknotes and prepress material.
  • Document inspection results by completing reports and logs.
  • Communicate findings with production and key stake holders.
  • Assist Production team in tracing and making sure that suspect defective material has been quarantined and logged.
  • Assist with the preparation of special sample notes requested by the job.
  • Self-portering.

Capabilities:

Essential:

  • Understanding of quality systems, inspection methods.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools (callipers, micrometres, gauges, etc).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office.
