- Provide day-to-day direct support to the NAVSEA 05 Security Manager. Ensuring NAVSEA 05 1100+ personnel are following Physical, Personnel and operational security
- Continuously develop, upgrade and implement NAVSEA 05 security program policies and procedures
- Use the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) for the verification of NAVSEA Badge Request Forms & processing visit requests
- Process visitor certifications and verify assigned personnel clearances through Defense Information System for Security (DISS) ensuring compliance of access
- Coordinate with personnel involved in electronic spills, completing Electronic Spill Action Form (ESAF) and with ACIO Action Officers to minimize deficiencies
- Directly train new employees on proper regulations and procedures in support of government customer
- Manage security requirements, objectives, strategy, metrics, and resolved conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources
- Work as facilitator between the various NAVSEA 05 codes and NAVSEA’s Personnel Security (PERSEC) to ensure DISS record are updated with the appropriate access
- Complete and submit Electronic Spillage Action Forms (ESAF) for SEA 05 electronic spillage remediation
- Participate in weekly SEA 05 department staff calls and SEA 05 Security calls as scheduled
- Process and issue SEA 05 courier cards
- Complete data call & maintain Courier Card Listing for 00P
- Compilation of classified & unclassified shred count/run & maintenance running expenditures of shred runs
- Maintain Key Issue Matrix to track office keys issued to SEA 05 codes
- Conduct security checks on safe containers, secure spaces, and SIPR terminals to ensure the security of all designated access points
- Ensure Activity Security Checklists (701s) and Security Container Check Sheets (702s) are completed and updated weekly
- Out process exiting personnel when the ASM is on leave
- Work with NAVSEA’s Information Security Department (INFOSEC) and Technical Warrant Holders to update all department Security Classification Guides (SCG) in accordance with the Fundamental Classification Guidance Review
- Update and maintain SCG trackers for ASM’s convenience
- Manage and operate SEA 05B SIPR room for employee convenience and access
- Complete security checks of all responsible SEA 05 containers, secured spaces and updated 701s & 702s accordingly
- Clearance verification checks completed for employee access as requested by ASM
- Complete and submit ESAFs for spill remediation.
- Provide courier briefings and updated courier cards for SEA 05 employees in need
- Provide NATO briefing and Restricted Data access requests for DISS record updates
- Submit requests for classified access in DISS for affected records to PERSEC
- Change door access codes for NAVSEA spaces as requested by various codes
- Continue to be a resource for DISS related questions and issues
- Responsible for the daily activities involving the operation of the facility mailroom which include timely and accurately processing of mail, delivery and pickup, and copy reproduction activities
- Processes incoming, outgoing and internal routing of facility mail maintaining timeliness considerations, appropriate handling and accuracy in support of facility mission
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge and ability to operate full suite of Microsoft Office software
- Detail-orientated
- Self-motivated
Security Clearance: This position requires a current U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) SECRET security clearance and employee must maintain eligibility and adjudication at the SECRET level.
Education/Equivalent:
- High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
- Experience supporting NAVSEA or other DoD government organizations preferred
