Job description

Summary

This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Duties

  • You will assess cost/schedule/performance metrics, and strategic alignment. Formulate enterprise-level recommendations to restructure programs, shift priorities, or alter acquisition strategies to optimize mission outcomes.
  • You will oversee the formulation and defense of multi-year budgets (POM) across multi-appropriation branch portfolios. Represents the branch in funding negotiations with higher headquarters.
  • You will devise strategies to mitigate critical funding shortfalls and ensures audit readiness across the enterprise.
  • You will conduct program reporting and analysis through branch dashboards and preparation of monthly, quarterly, and fiscal year-end status reports for branch leadership; variance and cost-benefit analysis to inform programmatic decision-making.
  • You will interface with prime contractors and warfare centers to review billing invoices, monitor burn rates, and resolve funding discrepancies.
  • You will serve as the principal advisor to the Principal Assistant Program Manager (PAPM) on programmatic direction.
  • You will interpret sweeping legislative, regulatory, or DoD-level policy changes and provide recommendations to ensure compliance and drive innovation.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (GS-13 equivalent)in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing cost, schedule and performance to formulate and defend budgets and make recommendations to optimize defense acquisition mission outcomes. . Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
