What You'll Be Doing...
Verizon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the Network Decom Program Management Office as a Prog. & Proj Mgmt - Sr Mgr. As we accelerate the removal of legacy network infrastructure while simultaneously executing complex, cross-functional transformation programs, rigorous portfolio governance has never been more critical. You will serve as the central orchestration hub for the PMO, ensuring workstream alignment, surfacing risks before they become systemic failures, and translating complex program data into executive-ready insights that drive faster, more confident decision-making across leadership.
To drive delivery of benefits associated with the Network Decom business case, you will be responsible for:
Portfolio Orchestration: Serve as the central governance hub for the Network Decom PMO, maintaining real-time portfolio visibility across multiple concurrent programs and cross-functional workstreams.
Governance Framework: Develop and manage standardized governance artifacts - reporting templates, escalation paths, cross-workstream dependency maps, and portfolio synchronization cadences.
Risk & Issue Management: Build and maintain RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs at the portfolio level; proactively surface blockers and escalate before they become systemic failures.
Executive Reporting: Synthesize complex network decom and transformation program data into polished, executive-ready dashboards, Google Slides decks, and presentations for VP/SVP/C-level audiences.
Stakeholder Alignment: Lead recurring portfolio synchronization and alignment meetings, ensuring cross-functional teams - including engineering, real estate, finance, and operations - remain coordinated on priorities, milestones, and dependencies.
Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze program and portfolio datasets to identify trends, performance gaps, and risk signals; translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations that inform strategic decisions.
Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with workstream leads, network engineering teams, and senior leadership to align on timelines, resolve cross-program dependencies, and maintain strategic focus.
What we’re looking for...

Six or more years of relevant work experience
Even better if you have one or more of the following…
Applied understanding of Verizon wireline and/or wireless network infrastructure - including familiarity with network decommissioning, legacy equipment removal, or network transformation programs.
Experience building and delivering executive-level presentations and dashboards using Google Slides and Google Sheets (required)
Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex technical and program data into clear, compelling executive narratives with a strong visual storytelling sensibility.
Experience managing portfolio-level governance frameworks - RAID logs, risk and action registers, milestone dashboards, and cross-functional reporting structures.
Strong analytical skills with a track record of deriving actionable insights from large, multi-source program datasets.
Familiarity with AI-assisted data analysis tools and workflows - including the use of generative AI or LLM-based tools to accelerate dataset interpretation, automate reporting tasks, or surface patterns across large program datasets.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Tableau for advanced data querying, manipulation, and visualization.
Experience in large-scale program or portfolio management within a telecom, network engineering, or technology-intensive enterprise environment.
