Job description

THE ROLE: Program Coordinator: Thought Leadership, Communications & Campaigns

Britebound is a national nonprofit that is changing the way kids learn about careers and prepare for their futures through access to career-readiness information and experiences.

Britebound fulfills its mission through free digital-first direct experiences, philanthropy, advocacy, thought leadership, groundbreaking research, and impact investing. We believe that exploring career possibilities, as early as middle school, and providing access to education-to-career pathways aligned with one’s passions and goals will result in greater confidence and long-term success for all students.

We are looking for a Program Coordinator: Thought Leadership, Communications & Campaigns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Career Navigation Hub Thought Leadership Project & Program Management
    • Develop and maintain project plans for all Hub marketing and communications work — campaigns, content initiatives, social media, events, PR, and channel programs — defining scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, and deadlines.

    • Track deliverables, resourcing, and the full Hub budget across concurrent workstreams; manage variances and process-related contracts; flag risks early and drive decisions to keep work on time and on budget.

    • Run regular status reviews and stakeholder updates; define success metrics and KPIs, establish baselines, and produce dashboards and quarterly reporting for leadership.

  • Workflow & Process Improvement
    • Design, document, and continuously improve repeatable workflows across campaigns, content production, event execution, internal comms, social media, and PR, including standardized review, approval, and handoff between teams.

    • Build templates, checklists, and project charters so the team can scale without reinventing the wheel each cycle.

    • Evaluate and recommend tools and systems that streamline planning, collaboration, and reporting.

  • Calendar & Operational Coordination
    • Own and maintain the Career Navigation's Hub’s master calendar — integrating editorial, campaign, event, channel (podcast, newsletter, website, Career Ready HQ), and internal comms schedules into a single source of truth.

    • Sequence and pace work to avoid bottlenecks and audience message overload; align cadence with organizational priorities and key moments.

    • Coordinate with other Hub program leads to identify dependencies and synergies, surface blockers and trade-offs early, and facilitate cross-functional decisions.

  • Campaign & Content Operations Support
    • Partner with the communications team to plan and operationalize integrated campaigns (research, policy, partner content), translating strategy into work plans, channel schedules, and measurement frameworks.

    • Coordinate communications for the Counselor, Employer, and Parent tracks, along with Sector Overviews, the Ad Council program, and the Harvard Workforce Project.

    • Partner with the marketing team to plan and operationalize national audience campaigns (the Hub Story, Parent Campaign, Counselor Campaign), tracking progress against the broader campaign work plan.

    • Support RFP development and selection for creative, media-buying, PR, and design agency partners; manage onboarding, scopes of work, and ongoing performance.

    • Coordinate other key initiatives — new podcast development, the Hub’s messaging platform, media training, and crisis communications planning — and support end-to-end production of briefs, reports, blogs, and web content.

  • Event Session Proposal & Operations Support
    • Source new events, conferences, and speaking opportunities aligned to the Hub’s priorities, with clear ROI and resourcing recommendations.

    • Manage the Hub event calendar through post-event evaluation, including speaker management, proposal processes, sponsorships, and logistics.

    • Write, route, and submit event session proposals, and prepare speakers with briefing documents, talking points, and run-of-show.

    • Maintain a repository of past proposals and reusable content, and conduct post-event ROI analysis to inform future event selection.

  • Internal Communications & PR Operations Support
    • Co-develop and operationalize the Hub’s internal comms plan, including cadence, templates, and channel structure.

    • Co-plan Town Hall content, manage Hub Teams channels, and coordinate the Hub’s PR project plan, including media outreach and interview prep.

  • Social Media
    • Manage the Managing Directors’ LinkedIn content calendar and community engagement; write and post career-navigation content across channels.

    • Develop and execute the Hub’s social media content strategy and editorial calendar, creating and scheduling platform-native content in partnership with design and creative.

    • Conduct social listening and report on social performance — reach, engagement, follower growth, and conversions — translating results into recommendations.

  • Center for Career Navigation (CCN) Marcom Support
    • Serve as the primary communications liaison to the Center for Career Navigation, running weekly coordination meetings on messaging, content, and calendar.

    • Support the CCN Year 3 thought leadership agenda and amplify CCN research and employer-engagement content across Hub channels.

About You:

  • 3–5 years of project or program management experience, ideally in communications, marketing, or thought leadership environments.

  • Proven ability to plan, sequence, and deliver complex, multi-workstream programs on time and on budget.

  • Demonstrated success building workflows, calendars, trackers, and reporting that scale across teams.

  • Strong process orientation with a continuous-improvement mindset; comfortable diagnosing inefficiencies and implementing fixes.

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Monday, Smartsheet, Teams); familiarity with editorial and campaign planning a plus.

  • Familiarity with workforce, credentials, and career navigation topics preferred.

  • Budget management experience with a stated dollar range (campaign/event budgets).

  • Hands-on social media management experience — content creation, community management, social listening, and analytics across platforms, with LinkedIn expertise strongly preferred.

  • Experience sourcing speaking opportunities and writing, routing, and submitting conference session proposals.
