Position: Program Coordinator, Continuing Education


Department: Workforce Development & Continuing Education


Type of Position: Full-time Salaried


Exemption Status: Exempt


Work Schedule, Hours per week: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week


Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No


Starting Salary Range:  $56,353.00 - $73,290.00 and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.



Position Summary: Develop, manage, and promote open enrollment courses and related instructional services and provide oversight of 100+ Workforce Development & Continuing Education (WDCE) instructors across multiple content areas including Life Skills, Leisure, and Youth for Johnson County Community College (JCCC).


Required Qualifications:



  • Requires a bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree.

  • Strong Interest in Continuing Education.

  • 1+ year supervisory experience.



Position details include but are not limited to:



  • Hire, onboard, train, and supervise the day-to-day activities of CE instructors for JCCC.

  • Research and develop new open enrollment programming.

  • Schedule and implement ongoing open enrollment programming, including approximately 200 in-person and 100+ online courses.

  • Assist with the development of marketing plans to promote open enrollment programming.

  • Assist in setting goals and metrics to track progress and report on program successes and areas for improvement. 

  • Partner with instructors/subject matter experts to create and provide up-to-date curriculum and materials.

  • Lead the development of short-term and long-term strategies for improvement, engagement, variety of classes and events offered, and quality and innovation of content.

  • Assist in the development and identification of resources for business solutions. 

  • Assist in the development and implementation of standardized CE processes and procedures.
