Job description

Classification: ANU Officer 6/7 (Administration) 
Salary package: $100,847 - $116,083 per annum plus 17% superannuation


Terms: Full time, Fixed term (until 18 August 2027)


  • Contribute to initiatives that foster a safe, respectful and inclusive ANU community.

  • Lead and support impactful education, prevention and engagement programs focused on inclusion, diversity, anti-racism, LGBTIQA+ inclusion and the prevention of harmful behaviours.

  • Build experience in project coordination, stakeholder engagement, workshop facilitation, event delivery and strategic program development within a supportive and purpose-driven team.



Position overview



The Inclusive and Respectful Communities team, within the Experience, Wellbeing and Inclusion Division, is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all members of the ANU community. The team supports the development and implementation of key University strategies and initiatives relating to inclusion, diversity, anti-racism, LGBTIQA+ inclusion, mental health, and the prevention of gender-based violence and other harmful behaviours. 


The Program Coordinator, Prevention, Education and Development supports the delivery of education, prevention and community engagement activities that promote inclusion and respectful behaviours across ANU. The role contributes to the development of educational resources, delivery of workshops and events, coordination of student engagement initiatives, support for the ANU LGBTIQA+ Ally Network, and reporting and evaluation activities that inform continuous improvement and strategic outcomes. 


Working under the broad direction of the Program Lead, Prevention and Community Education, the successful applicant will collaborate with staff, students and stakeholders to deliver initiatives that strengthen community wellbeing, enhance inclusion and contribute to positive cultural change across the University.
