About the Role
We are seeking a Program Manager, Data Center Buildout to lead the coordination and execution of data center buildouts across Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and Power Delivery systems. This role owns the day-to-day delivery of these workstreams on assigned sites, coordinating contracted labor and ByteBridge field resources to ensure installations are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification.
The ideal candidate combines working technical knowledge of low voltage, liquid cooling, and power delivery systems with hands-on program management experience, contractor coordination, and the ability to direct both third-party crews and internal field personnel in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Work Location
Hybrid — Hayward, CA; Manassas, VA; or Houston, TX, with travel to project sites as needed (~25%, domestic and occasional international)
Key Responsibilities
Lead the coordination and execution of data center buildouts across Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and Power Delivery from kickoff through commissioning and handoff
Coordinate contractors and ByteBridge field resources to manage day-to-day buildout activities on site
Maintain buildout schedules, staffing plans, and resource forecasts for assigned workstreams
Support contractor relationships, including qualification, RFP/bidding, contract negotiation, contract management, and performance tracking
Coordinate with pre-sales engineering, network, service delivery, vendors, and other cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to specification
Serve as the first point of escalation for buildout issues, schedule delays, and field-level risks while driving mitigation plans
Review installation drawings, specifications, and change orders to validate scope and identify dependencies
Manage project budgets, purchase orders, cost tracking, vendor invoicing, and change orders
Support inspections and regulatory/code compliance for low voltage, cooling, and electrical work
Prepare regular program communications, including status dashboards, risk registers, and milestone reporting
Drive commissioning readiness and coordinate the transition from buildout to live operations
Lead project closeout, including final documentation, punch-list resolution, and stakeholder sign-off
Conduct post-buildout reviews and capture lessons learned to improve future program planning and processes
Represent ByteBridge in customer meetings, site walks, and delivery reviews
Coordinate day-to-day activities with ByteBridge field resources supporting the project
Qualifications
4+ years of program or project management experience in data center buildouts, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure environments
Experience managing buildout projects involving Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and/or Power Delivery from kickoff through closeout
Working knowledge of low voltage systems, liquid cooling infrastructure, including CDUs, RDHx, piping and manifolds, and power delivery/electrical distribution
Experience coordinating contractors and internal field resources on active job sites
Experience working with contractors and vendors, including RFP/bidding and contract negotiation
Ability to manage buildout budgets, cost tracking, and change order processes
Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, specifications, and BIM models using Autodesk ACC, Revit, or similar tools
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams and leadership
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (~25%, domestic and occasional international)
Preferred Qualifications
PMP certification or equivalent project management credential
Experience supporting hyperscale or colocation data center buildouts for AI or high-density computing environments
Familiarity with liquid cooling manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Vertiv, CoolIT Systems, Motivair, and Schneider Electric, as well as low voltage and power delivery vendors
Experience directly coordinating internal field technicians alongside contractor crews
Background in commissioning processes for mission-critical facilities
