POSITION SUMMARY: 
The Program Manager researches, plans, leads, develops and implements programs related to operations, quality, customer experience, and various process improvement initiatives.  This role provides day-to-day tactical support as well as overall program development and strategy and oversight, including budget management.  The Program Manager provides direction and interacts with various stakeholders and business partners including but not limited to Technology, Marketing, and team members from other FedEx operating companies. 
This role is consistently involved in large scale projects that span several knowledge domains (network, workstations, server administration, application development, databases). 
The role is uniquely positioned in FedEx Office so that it is exposed to a wide variety of projects and project leadership and participation is a core function of this job role.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and manage program development and implementation, including budget planning and preparation, business requirements and measurement metrics
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with cross-functional and cross-operating company teams
  • Develop working plans and associated communication documents in collaboration with cross-functional and cross operating company teams
  • Manage quality data and metrics collection, reporting and related actives
  • Program management and development, including enhancements to customer experience and operational  efficiency
  • Use metrics to identify issues, make decisions, track improvements
  • Present project updates and status to various stakeholders including Executive Management
  • Assist Learning and Development to facilitate design and deployment of retail training programs
  • Plan and engage various partners when necessary, including:  Labor Management, Technology Integration, Asset Management, Standard and Procedures, Network Operations, Marketing
  • Communicate with executive management and field management on project status, risks, opportunities, etc.
  • Prepare high-level business presentations using MS PowerPoint, including usage of relevant data as appropriate
  • Interact with and direct third-party vendors
  • Develop and document business requirements, including possible system applications
  • Deliver detailed in-store procedures to support programs
  • All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+  years’ experience in Program Management and/or execution
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Microsoft Project and Business Objects preferred
  • Experience with budget/cost development and management preferred
  • Strong process orientation necessary to understand project impact on existing and emerging operational processes.
  • Periodic travel may be required
