Program Manager - Platform Enablement

Location: Canada remote or Portland, Novi, Atlanta, Denver

Job Description

We are seeking a Program Manager to independently lead assigned cross-functional programs within Platform Enablement, bringing disciplined execution and reliable follow-through from planning through delivery. Our team helps Autodesk teams discover, adopt, extend, and contribute to shared platform technology.

You will partner with the Principal Program Manager and broader team to advance cross-functional work, collaborating with product, engineering, operations, and other business partners. You will build trusted working relationships, establish clear ownership and communication paths, and ensure stakeholders have the context and visibility needed to act. You will own the day-to-day planning, dependency and risk management, and stakeholder follow-through for assigned programs or discrete workstreams within broader initiatives. You will resolve day-to-day delivery issues independently, recommend options when tradeoffs arise, and escalate decisions that affect strategy, priorities, multiple programs, or require senior alignment.

This is a program management role with a strong business analysis and data component. You will use process analysis, requirements clarification, metrics, and reporting to improve execution and help teams make better decisions. Success in this role requires accountability, sound judgment, proactive communication, and comfort navigating ambiguity.

At Autodesk, we build tools that help innovators design and make a better world. We offer a flexible, inclusive environment where people can do meaningful work and grow their careers.

Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the day-to-day execution of assigned cross-functional programs and discrete workstreams, maintaining clear outcomes, plans, milestones, owners, dependencies, risks, actions, and decisions.
  • Keep work moving from alignment through implementation by driving accountability and follow-through, resolving issues, and escalating when broader decisions, authority, or senior alignment are required.
  • Build trusted relationships across technical and non-technical teams, clarify roles and decision paths, and ensure stakeholders have the context and visibility needed to act.
  • Maintain lightweight roadmaps, trackers, and reliable sources of truth that make progress, ownership, priorities, dependencies, and risks visible.
  • Manage recurring operating rhythms for planning, review, learning, and continuous improvement, ensuring decisions and actions are documented and carried forward.
  • Proactively identify risks, gaps, competing priorities, and dependencies; recommend practical actions; and help prevent issues from becoming blockers.
  • Apply business analysis and data skills to clarify requirements, map processes, identify patterns, and define useful metrics and reporting that improve execution and decision-making.
  • Use AI tools responsibly to improve program execution, analysis, communication, documentation, and reporting, and identify opportunities to reduce manual effort or improve quality.

In the first 30–60 days: establish the foundation

  • Learn the team’s operating model, active programs, stakeholders, tools, and planning and reporting rhythms.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and develop an understanding of their roles, needs, dependencies, and communication preferences.
  • Assume ownership of day-to-day tracking and follow-through for assigned work, including milestones, dependencies, risks, actions, and decisions.
  • Begin managing recurring operating meetings and establish reliable working views of program status, ownership, priorities, and risks.
  • Assess program data, measures, processes, and documentation to identify the highest-value gaps and improvement opportunities.

By 60–90 days: create visibility and momentum

  • Assigned programs have clear outcomes, plans, ownership, dependencies, risks, and consistent follow-through.
  • Recurring operating meetings run reliably and result in clear decisions, actions, and measurable progress between sessions.
  • A useful reporting or dashboard approach connects program status, risks, and metrics to intended outcomes.
  • Stakeholders receive timely, relevant communication and have the context and visibility needed to fulfill their commitments.
  • Routine delivery and stakeholder issues are resolved independently, with appropriate escalation when broader or senior alignment is required.

By 6 months: scale impact

  • Assigned programs move forward predictably through independent leadership within established priorities and operating standards.
  • Stakeholders have a reliable experience working with the team because ownership, communication, commitments, and follow-through are clear and consistent.
  • Program metrics and reporting provide trusted evidence of progress, health, risks, and outcomes for planning and decision-making.
  • Lightweight, repeatable processes improve consistency, stakeholder experience, and delivery without adding unnecessary bureaucracy.
  • Lessons from assigned programs contribute to practical improvements in the broader Platform Enablement operating system, including responsible uses of AI and automation.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, operations, business analysis, or a related role with direct responsibility for cross-functional delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional work from planning through execution, including managing milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and follow-through.
  • Strong program management judgment, ownership, and independence, with the ability to maintain momentum and escalate appropriately.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including the ability to build trust, create alignment, and influence across technical and non-technical teams without direct authority.
  • Business analysis and systems-thinking skills, including process analysis, requirements clarification, synthesis, and understanding interdependencies and downstream impacts.
  • Strong analytical and data skills, including experience defining meaningful metrics and creating useful dashboards or reporting from structured data.
  • Experience using program management and collaboration platforms such as Airtable, along with comfort learning new technical tools and concepts in a software or technology environment.
  • Practical experience using AI tools responsibly to improve program management, analysis, communication, or operational workflows.
